jperceval (she's the evil twin). I am an avid reader (mostly romance, but really, I'll read anything, including the bottom of a tissue box if I'm desperate), very active in reader groups, who decided to start writing reviews on a regular basis. Here, you will find those reviews, along with TV snark, some silly little games, and the occasional activist post. Please feel free to leave comments (if you're not a registered LJ user, please sign your name so I know who's talking!), but if you make any personal attacks or flameworthy remarks, I will send my magic red editor's pen out to get you. And if it misses you, the flying monkeys won't.A brief explanation of my rating system:
= This book is a keeper. It will leave my collection over my dead body. If you liked the sound of this book based on my review, you should drop everything you are doing and go get it NOW.
= A keeper that I will fight to the point of maiming to keep in my collection. It was worth my time and money, and I didn't want to leave that world behind when I finished it.
= A hang-onto-for-occasional-rereads and keep as long as space allows book. There may be flaws or things I didn't care for in the book, but not enough to make me hold it against the entire book.
= Meh. If I'm holding onto this one, it's because it's part of a series I don't want to break up. Otherwise, I'd likely send it to a friend.
= I want the _____ hours of my life back that I wasted reading this dreck. It's too late for me, but save yourselves!
